淘宝热销的诸多低价多核服务器CPU（二手洋垃圾）成功吸引了《电脑报》编辑部的目光。这些服务器CPU拥有媲美主流Core i5/i7的性能（甚至核心数和支持的内存总容量更多），但价格却低得惊人（主要原因是可搭配的主板太少），着实令人心动。本着低价也不会亏损太多的原则，《电脑报》编辑尝试入手了一款仅售28元的W3520处理器，其测试结果着实让整个编辑部沸腾不已！

低价服务器CPU规格说明
表中列出的处理器中，E5640算是规格相对较高的型号，制程工艺较先进，4核心8线程，12MB三级缓存，最大支持288GB内存，相比桌面版的Core i7毫不逊色（但在频率、内存频率/带宽方面则稍显不足），其功耗也仅为80W，价格不足百元；
W3520与E5640相比有一定差距，虽然频率相同，但三级缓存少了4MB，内存也仅支持24GB，最重要的是，功耗却达到了130W，堪称电炉子，不过其价格也低于30元；L5506是低功耗版本，频率仅为2.13GHz，无超线程，三级缓存仅有4MB，功耗降低到60W，适合追求低功耗的朋友，且它也是最便宜的。
本文介绍的低价服务器CPU主要指Intel XEON 3000/5000系列（采用LGA1366接口），这些处理器可以搭配X58消费级主板使用，超频等操作也不在话下（LGA2011服务器CPU价格相对较高，难以归类为低价，因此不在本文讨论范畴）。

如果你想要入手这样的“低价”CPU，最好搭配一款超频功能和超频能力均不错的主板，才能让“乌鸡”变“凤凰”。《电脑报》编辑部剛好有一块技嘉的GA-X58A-UD7主板与W3520相配。
虽然优质的X58主板价格不便宜（如淘宝上的二手技嘉GA-X58A-UD3R售价高达700多元），但在处理器几乎免费的情况下，整体价格仍然比Core i7+主流主板更低（700多元甚至买不到主流Core i7）。

28元处理器直逼Core i7
先进行简单测试，W3520的默认频率为2.66GHz（睿频2.93GHz），在默认设置下，Cinebench R15得分为440，已秒杀得分仅为391的Core i3 6100，与Core i5 2500K不相上下。
4核心8线程的规格在Cinebench R15中远比频率重要，凭借核心数量的优势，28元的W3520自然可以击败800多元的Core i3 6100。

At this time, the Cinebench R15 and chess scores are close to the Core i7 3770 and at a frequency of 4GHz, running "Singularity Ashes" can basically exert the full performance of the GTX970 (mainly because the X58 only provides PCI-E 2.0, which has some limitations on the graphics card performance).
Of course, the 45nm W3520 is indeed a "stove". Overclocked to 4GHz, the whole machine power consumption has reached 320W when the CPU is fully loaded. Therefore, if you want to match it with a high-end graphics card, you should prepare a power supply of more than 500W.
