Italian Pasta Sauce Recipe
Today, feeling a bit spontaneous, I decided to whip up some pasta! With some leftover lasagna sheets in the fridge, I thought it would be perfect to make a rich and flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
1 small hot dog
2 small tomatoes or 1 large tomato
Tomato sauce (to taste)
Salt (to taste)
Sugar (to taste)
5g butter
1 slice bacon
4 shrimp
3 mushrooms
15g corn kernels
50g meat strips
Instructions:
1. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and slice the mushrooms.
2. Mince the shrimp, cut the bacon into small pieces, and slice the hot dog.
3. Chop the onions into sections.
4. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until fragrant. Then add the bacon and fry until crispy. Add the meat strips and hot dog and cook until about 80% done.
5. Add a knob of butter and sauté the tomatoes and mushrooms until they release their juices. Season with salt, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1.5 tablespoons vinegar, and half a tablespoon of oyster sauce.
6. Once the sauce has reduced a bit, add the shrimp, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, and 20g orange juice.
7. Combine all the previously cooked ingredients into the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens.
8. Serve over pasta or lasagna sheets and enjoy!
Tips:
Adding orange juice is optional.
For a creamy sauce, consider adding milk.
