一、 冠词概述
英语冠词用于修饰名词或形容词，共分为三类：
不定冠词: a/an (an用于元音开头的单词前)
定冠词: the

（一）冠词与名词
1. 单数可数名词: 可以用不定冠词(表示泛指)或定冠词(表示特指)。

（二） 定冠词 "The" 的用法
1. 类别泛指: 用于形容词前，表示一类人或物.
例: The rich are not always happy.
2. 国家名称: 用于完整国名前，但简称前通常不用冠词.
例: The United States of America (USA)
例: I live in America.
3. 地理位置: 城市街道名前通常不用冠词，江河湖海山川岛屿名前多用定冠词。
例: Wall Street, Fifth Avenue
例: the Amazon, the Atlantic, the Hawaiian Islands
4. 数字: 基数词前通常不用冠词，序数词前通常用定冠词。
例: World War Two

5. 头衔: 带名字的头衔前不用冠词，不带of的学校名称前不用冠词。

9. 最高级: 最高级前通常用定冠词，但副词最高级前的定冠词可省略。
