1. parent，grandparent
parent 是指“父亲或母亲”，也即父母中的任一方。作为主语时，谓语动词使用单数形式；其复数形式是parents，表示“父母”，涵盖两人。当提到父亲或母亲时，可以用father（爸爸）和mother（妈妈），在口语中常用mom和dad。
例如：Don’t worry, your parent is on their way. 你的家长快到了，不必担心。
Her parents work as laborers. 她的父母都是工人。
grandparent 指代祖父母中的一个人，而grandparents 表示祖父母的两个人。具体的祖父母称谓为grandfather（爷爷/姥爷）和grandmother（奶奶/姥姥）；口语中可用grandpa和grandma。
例如：His grandparents reside in the countryside. 他的祖父母住在乡下。
2. sister / brother
这两个词都是可数名词，其复数形式分别是brothers和sisters。sister指“姐姐或妹妹”，而brother指“哥哥或弟弟”。在需要区分年龄时，通常使用elder表示“年长的”或little/yonger表示“年幼的”。
例如：This is Lily, my little sister. 这是我的妹妹Lily。
Here’s a picture of my elder brother. 这是我哥哥的照片。
3. these，those
these 是this的复数形式，意为“这些”，而those是that的复数形式，意为“那些”。其中this和that用于单数名词，those和these则用于复数名词。
例如：This is a notebook. 这是一本笔记本。
Those are notebooks. 那些是笔记本。
4. uncle, aunt, cousin
在汉语中，uncle指父母的兄弟，即“叔叔、伯伯或舅舅”；aunt则指父母的姐妹，即“姑姑、婶婶或阿姨”。cousin 是他们的子女，即“堂（表）兄弟姐妹”。这些词都是可数名词。
例如：My father’s brother is my uncle. 我父亲的弟弟（或哥哥）是我的叔叔（或伯伯）。
The son of my uncle is my cousin. 我叔叔的儿子是我的堂兄弟。
5. family
family是名词，意为“家庭或家人”。当指整体家庭时，谓语动词使用单数形式；当指家庭成员时，谓语动词用复数形式。
例如：I belong to a large family. 我属于一个大家庭。
My family is very friendly. 我家人都很友善。
6. a photo of my family
a photo of my family指“我的全家福”，相当于“my family photo”。“of”表示名词所有格，常用于无生命名词的所有格，表示“……的……”。
例如：a map of China 一张中国地图

辨析：photo与 picture
这两个词都意为“照片”，均为可数名词，复数形式为photos和pictures。photo通常指拍摄的“照片”。
例如：Here’s a photo of my brother. 这是我哥哥的照片。
而picture不仅指“照片”，还包括“图片、画作”。
例如：Can you create a picture? 你能画幅画吗？
7. and
and 是并列连词，意为“和”。它用于连接两个或多个并列的词、短语或句子，有时不需要翻译，可用来表示：
（1）并列关系
例如：My mother and father are both educators. 我父母都是教师。
（2）承接关系
例如：This is my book, and that’s yours. 这是我的书，那是你的书。
（3）重复、连续的强调
例如：They laughed and laughed. 他们笑个不停。
8. have
have 作为动词，意为“经历”或“享受”，常用于固定搭配或祝福语中。
例如：Have a great time! 玩得愉快！ Have a nice trip! 旅途愉快！
