考点一：情态动词“should”的用法
(1) “should”作为情态动词，意为“应该、应当”，表示建议或预期。它没有人称、数和时态的变化。它常用于向对方提出建议或表达一种期望。
例如：你应该早点起床做运动。You should get up early and do some exercise in the morning.
孩子们应该帮助父母做家务。Children should help their parents with the housework.
(2)疑问句和否定句中的“should”
疑问：我们第一次见面时应该握手还是鞠躬？Should we shake hands or bow when we meet for the first time?
提问：我应该为他的生日做什么？What should I do for his birthday?
否定：你不应该生他的气。You shouldn't be angry with him.
考点二：“spend”的用法详解
(1) “spend”作为动词，意为“花费（时间或金钱）”，其主语必须是“人”。
① 花费时间或金钱在某事上 - spend…on/spend…(in) doing sth.
示例：我父亲把很多时间花在了志愿者工作上。My father spends a lot of time on volunteer work.
这本书你花了多少钱？How much did you spend on this book?
② spend与cost、pay、take的区别
在主语、宾语和结构上，这四个动词有所区别。
例如，描述主语为“人”，宾语为“时间、金钱”时，用spend。
cost主语是“物”，宾语为“钱、人”。其结构是：sth. + cost + (人) + 钱。
如：这本书花了我50元。This book cost me 50 yuan.
pay的主语也是“人”，其宾语是“钱”，而描述某物为支付的对象时使用该结构。
他花100美元买了这双鞋子。Tom paid 100 dollars for this pair of shoes.
"take"常用于描述时间的消耗，其主语通常为形式主语"it"或"物/事"，宾语是"时间"。
例如：完成作业需要花费我两个小时的时间。It takes me 2 hours to finish my homework every day.
(2) “take”的过去式和过去分词为took/taken，在描述某物/事花费时间时使用。
例如：骑车去那个村子需要多长时间？How long did it take you to ride to that village yesterday?
